Indoor Crazy Golf: Pinns N’Putt, St Neots

THE ULTIMATE GAME OF GAMES

THE BRIEF

Located at the Eat N’ Bowl bowling alley in St Neots, our client wanted us to maximise a relatively small area into a 9-hole crazy golf course, with a bonus 10th. The theme we came up with was based on games from retro to current day.

Plans

Our designs were inspired by classic board games such as Chess and Monopoly, retro inspired games such as Operation, and Lego, computer games similar to Tetris and Space Invaders. We included interactivity with a pool table game and even had a nod to Squid Games giant doll. Being set in a bowling alley, of course we had to have a bowling themed hole too!

Our Work

We designed the course to utilise the limited area in the best way possible, through a maze of interconnecting small rooms each having a different themed hole, to create an exciting and unique experience. We created a raised platform floor within the space, along with stud walls which our graffiti artists created their magic with bespoke modern graffiti art to bring the course to life.

The Results

The courses sound FX, optical illusion mirrors and cool décor made this course an instant success, increasing the footfall to the centre by four-fold in a very short time. Visitors were able to enjoy the course, alongside the other attractions of bowling, soft play and the café, making it an all-round family entertainment centre.

And Finally...

Word of caution, when you are playing the Monopoly-style hole, make sure you bring a “Get Out Of Jail Free” card – we don’t want you having to overstay your welcome!
