An oasis in the heart of London

As the sun beat down on Regent’s Place last Thursday and Friday, the plaza was transformed into a golf fest for the masses. For two days only anyone could come and play for free on our portable 9-hole ‘Signature Golf Course’, soak in the rays on the temporary deck chairs and enjoy the Open Championship Golf on the jumbo screen.

The activity attracted all kinds of visitors, but mostly it was staff from the surrounding office buildings and people passing through on their lunch break. There was also a scattering of tourists, day trippers and commuters. But everyone had one thing in common – a smile on their face!

Our client dressed the area with rainbow-coloured beach huts, banners and bright orange statues. And with the BT Tower looming in the background it really was a sight to see. Click on the ‘enlarge’ button to the right for a better look at the pictures.

The crazy golf course included two special holes. One was customised for our client to include their logo and brand colours. The other was our brand new red and black ‘Casino’-themed hole on which players were tempted to gamble on going for a hole-in-one.

This was my first event since I began working for UrbanCrazy and it was hugely exciting for me to be involved in. However, there was a slightly embarrassing moment, when, while attempting an ace our ‘DreamGolf’ track, the ball rebounded right back to my feet. Oh how we laughed! But I had the last laugh, when on my next attempt I got it straight in.

We were delighted to hear positive feedback from our client, Regent’s Place. They said “UrbanCrazy delivered two days of crazy fun on the plaza. Alongside The Open Championship, the crazy golf was a huge success”.

To make your next event a huge success, look no further than UrbanCrazy’s colourful and quirky ‘Signature Course’. I guarantee it will make you smile!
