Mon, 02 May 2016  |  Jon Angel, UrbanCrazy

Saltburn Promenade has been home to a fabulous new minigolf course since March 2016. We designed and built the course to offer an enjoyable game for visitors of all ages and a treat for the eyes, with cleverly-placed seaside-themed obstacles and features. You must putt past the surfboard, around the lighthouse, over the bridge, through the beach hut and down the Bagatelle for glory!

Read on to learn more about the facility and for pointers on how to play some of the holes ahead of your next visit. Check out the gallery to the right for some of our favourite photos.

Wed, 16 Mar 2016  |  Richard Linden, UrbanCrazy

There is no finer complement to a crazy golf course than a selection of wacky obstacles. Wouldn’t you agree? I set out on a quest to find out what our staff think is the greatest obstacle we’ve ever produced and most importantly, why. Here were my findings: Read more

2015 London Golf Show report

Wed, 18 Nov 2015  |  Jon Angel, UrbanCrazy

It was a huge thrill to be back at the London Golf Show for the sixth time entertaining visitors with our minigolf and ping pong activities. Alongside the course and tables we had a separate stand with special offers on a bright selection of themed and novelty golf balls. The show was a success for us with many rounds and games played, Christmas pressies sold and funds and awareness raised for our partner charity, On Course Foundation. It’s a very worthy cause, please take a look at their website. Read more

Let’s make gardens fun!

Thu, 28 Aug 2014  |  Jon Angel, UrbanCrazy

In 2010 we designed and installed a minigolf course in a rear garden in North London. We look back on this project with fond memories of what we created, with highlights including a double green, a fiendish water hazard and – our favourite one of all – a Rube Goldberg-esque contraption where the ball travels in and out of the shed!

Last month, 4 years since we completed the work, we were invited back to give the course and garden a spring clean and good ol’ spruce up ahead of the summer holidays.

The UrbanCrazy World Of Miniature Golf

Mon, 16 Jun 2014  |  Richard Gottfried, contributor

Being on a mission to visit and play all of the Minigolf, Crazy Golf and Adventure Golf courses in the UK we’re always on the lookout for new places to play.

There are over 600 courses in the country, ranging from 9-hole to 54-hole complexes, with layouts indoors as well as outside. Some are of the seaside classic ‘Windmill’ type of course, others are newer all-singing, all-dancing adventure-themed golf courses with animatronic dinosaurs, jungles, volcanoes and plenty of water features. The UK also has a number of grass putting greens and skill-based Minigolf courses. Read more

After the hugely successful 2013 London Golf Show we couldn’t wait to make an appearance at the 2014 Manchester Golf Show, held at Event City adjacent to the Trafford Centre. The timing was ideal for us as we were able to showcase our brand new ‘Serpentine’ portable crazy golf course with sinuous curves and a striking orange and blue felt surface. It’s one of our most innovative courses to date.
