2019 has been another great year for UrbanCrazy. Our team have been involved in some really interesting and exciting projects and have had a ‘ball’ along the way.
And as we ‘swing’ into 2020, we hope to ‘tee’ up another fun year ahead… here are some highlights from this year: Read more
The temperature may have been close to zero, but Alexander Palace in North London was really hotting up when it hosted the annual Bet Victor World Championship of Ping Pong on 26th and 27th January and PongCrazy were there to get the ping pong party started with some of our unique tables.
As well as our old favourites, like our giant fried egg (Sunny Side Up) and our golf themed table (Up and Down), we also brought along some new and exciting tables to the Palm Court. The chessboard table (Checkmate) was ‘king of the castle’ and our illuminated egg timer, TimeTaBall (geddit!) was also a hit with its bed of ping pong balls and flashing lights, but the one that really ‘court’ everyone’s eye was our ‘smashing’ tennis themed table tennis table simply named TennisTable.
Throughout the weekend, adults and children alike enjoyed playing on our tables, and practising their skil
Our Jon’s brief was to make a pyramid of golf balls “like the Ferrero Rocher tower with a tunnel through it” for a minigolf obstacle. With this the thoughts and opportunities spiralled with the different choices we had. Starting from the geometry of the Great Pyramid of Giza (51.5° side angle) and a maximum footprint size, it was time to play with some ideas to see the scale this beast would be.
It was a huge thrill to be back at the London Golf Show for the sixth time entertaining visitors with our minigolf and ping pong activities. Alongside the course and tables we had a separate stand with special offers on a bright selection of themed and novelty golf balls. The show was a success for us with many rounds and games played, Christmas pressies sold and funds and awareness raised for our partner charity, On Course Foundation. It’s a very worthy cause, please take a look at their website. Read more
Ever since we introduced the world to PongCrazy (our quirky take on ping pong), we’ve been dying to pimp up our tables ‘UV style’! So very recently we set to work on a new version that would glow all sorts of weird and wonderful colours in a dark room, under a black light, with the aim of confusing the hell out of people attempting to play. Sound like a good plan..? We thought so! Read more
Having heard all the talk about the ‘Swingers’ club, I couldn’t wait to check it out. It’s not what you’re thinking, it is in fact the new pop-up crazy golf course and bar in East London! So I went for a ‘busman’s night out’ with a few pals, down to trendy Shoreditch, to see what all the fuss was about. Read more
Charnwood Golf Complex in Leicestershire had reason to celebrate on Saturday 5 April at the opening of its new miniature golf course. Despite grey skies for most of the day there was an excellent turn out from the public. Not only was it a chance to play on the brand new course for free, but there was also a bouncy castle, BBQ and a trickshot display by Tricky Robb and his jaunty golfing trousers.
It’s the second weekend of November; it’s Earls Court 2; it’s the 2013 London Golf Show. We were back with an exciting, themed crazy golf course, a separate Hole-In-One Challenge, novelty golf balls for sale and our brand new creation, drumroll please…
…Making its first public outing was our unique, gourmet table tennis game PongCrazy, a collaborative effort by UrbanCrazy’s Jon, Kate, Dave and Marcin.
We’re delighted that the producers of Baker & Kelly’s VSPO (on BT Sport 1 every Friday evening) have booked our services for a number their live shows since October 2013. Hosted by the flamboyant and excitable pairing of Danny Baker and Danny Kelly, the show takes an amusing, left-field look at the world of football and other sports. One of the recurring features pits the Dannies against each other in a golfing challenge, and so we have been supplying courses together with wacky, novelty obstacles, created by us and based on outlandish suggestions by viewers.

It was billed as “The Interactive Golf Show ALL Under One Roof!” and it certainly didn’t disappoint. The Earls Court London Golf Show 2012 in association with talkSPORT was, for 3 days, home to some very interesting golf-related stands and interactive exhibits alongside our own, including: the entertaining Golf Trick Shot Boys, the glamorous Las Vegas Long Putt Challenge and the inspiring Jolf.
